Iced Matcha Latte
An enlivening blend of organic Japanese Matcha and Oat milk. A matcha latte is a delicious drink that's so easy to make at home. Traditionally drunk hot - this chilled take on the latte is perfect for the Summer and warmer climates like here in Bali. Knowing how to make your own matcha latte means you can enjoy it any time. It also means you can control the level of sweetness as cafes usually add something to their matcha mix to give a sweeter taste.
Feel free to use your favourite milk, dairy or plant-based.
Here is a beautiful recipe from Alive Tribe member Marci - thanks Marci we are in love with this drink now!

INGREDIENTS
- 2 teaspoons Organic Matcha Powder
- 1 to 2 tablespoons hot water
- 1 cup warm water
- Ice
- Milk of choice (We used oat milk)
- Coconut syrup
METHOD
In a measuring cup or bowl, add the matcha powder (sift here to avoid lumps). Pour in the 1 to 2 tablespoons of hot water and whisk until the matcha has fully incorporated into the water and there are no lumps. This should create almost a bit of a frothy paste.
Pour in the remaining 1 cup of water and whisk. Traditionally, a bamboo whisk is used, but a regular metal whisk will work just fine. Transfer to the fridge or freezer to chill for about 15 minutes.
Fill two glasses full of ice and add your milk of choice so the glass is about 3/4 of the way full.
If you like your latte on the sweet side, this is a great time to add any syrup, Coconut syrup would be our choice.
Lastly, pour in the chilled matcha and stir.
